Current Research Interests

Atomic, Molecular and quantum structures, phenomena, devices and sciences, sensors, emitters, lasers, and collective behaviors of large coupled quantum systems. Ongoing research includes silicon photonics, carbon nanotubes, nanoelectronic-molecule interfaces; arrayed quantum structures in metals, superconducting, molecules and semiconductors; DNA conductivity, DNA engineering; nano-electronic interfacing of redox proteins and cells.

 

Professional Record

Over 180 refereed journal papers and over 150 conference papers in the areas of nano and quantum structures, photonics and physics; gave over 180 invited talks, seminars, colloquia, inaugural seminars, plenary speeches, and distinguished lectures in a number of countries. Holds 16 patents. Supervised 16 Ph.D. theses, 30 Master Degree theses and 15 postdoctoral fellows. Currently supervising 12 Ph.D students and 3 postdoctoral fellows and research associates.
